Vintage Colonial SHUR SNAP yellow bowtie fishtail. This knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the early to mid 1950s. It's a generation 3 knife with small domed button and bolsters. It was designated a model 1800CB and measures 4" closed and 7 1/4" open with brass liners. The blade is nearly full and has a dull shine with scratches and some light pits, but overall a nice blade. The bolsters are in good shape, as are the yellow plastic scales. The back scale shows just a little shrinkage. The knife functions well with the blade tip at the liners when closed, strong snap and good lockup. The button presses a little hard on this one and the safety works, so you don't have to worry if you're planning to carry it in your pocket. Nice old bowtie switchblade!
