HANDLES:   Yellow “Pearl composition handle” per Harvey Platts book. The handles appear to me to be celluloid, but if they are they are in excellent condition!

BLADES:   Long pull clip blade with swedge, pin and surgical lands blade.

CONDITION:   Excellent

DAMAGE:   Normal use & wear, some staining on blades, possibly a spot or two.

BLADE WEAR:   10%, perhaps less.

SNAP:   Outstanding! Huge snap for such a small knife!

ADDITIONAL INFO:      This knife appears with the “Pearl composition handle” in the 1959-1960 catalog reprint in Harvey Platts book; “The Knife Makers Who Went West.” Later catalog listings of this knife were with Delrin handles. I have always thought that Western made excellent quality knives with some of the best carbon steel ever made. The walk and talk of the blades in this little knife reflect Westerns high quality standards. Almost 60 years after this knife was made is still walks and talks great with no blade play! A great addition to your collection or to your pocket!
