ADDITIONAL INFO: The Whiskey Gap is one of the patterns listed in the 1985 Kershaw catalog along with the Lil’ Cody (#4000), Wild Turkey (#4150), Big Joe (#4200), Whiskey Gap (#4100), Black Horse (1060), and the two bladed (#4300), and the 45 Ranch (#4350). These patterns were very popular and the Whiskey Gap and the Wild Turkey were still being made in Japan as late as 2010. I do recall seeing some Wild Turkeys that were made in China, but as I remember they were not around for very long. It is still possible to find the original Wild Turkey on eBay plus a couple of higher end versions with ATS-34 steel. The Wild Turkey is my favorite Kershaw pattern; I probably have a dozen of them. The Whiskey Gap is only ¼" shorter than the Wild Turkey but does not seem nearly as available on eBay is the Wild Turkey. Most of them I find for sale are pretty beat up. Here’s a nice one that is display quality.
