ADDITIONAL INFO: From my research in my library of Kershaw catalogs the Double Duty first appeared in the 2001-2002 Kershaw catalog. I have to give Kershaw props for their innovation and design and the concept of bringing new technology to designs and. They use the thumb stud opening in addition to the nail that to open these blades and they also have a center liner that is the liner lock for both blades. I think Kershaw did a good job in their design and manufacture. This is a nice addition for someone’s collection or a great addition to someone’s pocket. Even though this may have been a new design when it was introduced, it is first and foremost a Kershaw; it is made to cut and to work hard!
