ADDITIONAL INFO:      The 5200 tortoise shell lacquer finish was part of this series introduced by Kershaw about 1980. This series was known as Kershaw Pocket Jewelry. When I first saw this piece I was surprised at how little blades have been used. The only real evidence that it is used is the wear to the finish. Upon close examination you can see wear and scratches to the finish were it has been carried in a pocket. The scratches did not appear deep; it appears the previous owner carried this in the watch pocket are some of the pocket without any keys and coins in the pocket.
