ADDITIONAL INFO:      This is a nice little Remington single blade peanut that appears to be unused. I would imagine this was made by Camillus as it appears to be made on the same frame as the Camillus #710S. The difference between this knife and the Camillus #710S is that the 710 has the handles secured with pins at either end. This Remington version uses the post method of handle attachment. That is; a round “post,” which was part of the molded Delrin, is fitted through to small holes at either end of the liners and then the “post” is removed with a heated tool that removes the excess handle material from the post and melts the end down firmly to the liner. I have taken knives apart with this construction and it is a very effective method of handle attachment. It’s often used on Camillus’ TL-29 that use the Delrin handles. Those handles are difficult to remove even if one is trying! Don’t miss this chance to get this piece of cutlery history.
