*1970's S&W Model 6060 Folding Hunter - Blackie Collins design

The Folding Hunter model 6060 

German Silver bolsters are carefully silver soldered to the brass bolsters and the Wessonwood handles are locked to the liners with nickle silver rivets. Full size 3.5" blade is a dropped point design with flat spline for full working support right down to the tip. One piece stainless steel spring and locking bar. Overall length is 8". Sold new for $200.

In 1972 Smith and Wesson worked with well known and innovative knife designer Blackie Collins to introduce the company into the knife business. This program was announced in 1975 and seven knives were initially offered. Called the Survival Series they included a Bowie, Outdoorsman, Survival, Skinner a Folding Hunter knife, a Fisherman knife and a Filet knife.

This knife is new with the box, blade is immaculate, sheath was allowed to dry out some.  A great collectible. Low production number 3156
