ADDITIONAL INFO:      This is a classic Kershaw design from the 1980s. The 1982 Kershaw catalog list three versions of this knife this one, #5300 being the smallest. There was also a 3 inch and 4 inch version with single locking blades. There were also four multi-blade versions, three of them based on the 5300 frame. The 5600 had blade, nail file and folding scissors; the 5700 had an additional pen blade added and the 5800 and a screwdriver cap lifter added. All in all there were seven pieces of what Kershaw called Pocket Jewelry with this same tortoiseshell finish. The one I carried for many years was the model 5900, a smoker’s knife, which had a blunt ended reaming blade, a pick and a tamper on the end of the frame. The whole line is classic 1980s Kershaw!
