CONDITION:   Very good

 

DAMAGE:   Normal wear, nicks and dings to handle, spotting of blade. Blade rubs the frontline are a little and has no appreciable snap.

 

BLADE WEAR:   Approx less than 10% blade wear

 

SNAP:   No appreciable snap

 

 

 

MADE IN:   U.S.A.

 

 

 

ADDITIONAL INFO:      I did a little searching online and found there was a first baseman for the Cincinnati Reds whose name was Frank “Buck” McCormick. He was also a member of the 1940 Cincinnati Reds World Championship team and is a member of the Reds Hall of Fame. I would guess this is the Frank Buck whose signature appears on the handle of this knife.

 

The knife is just a cool historical piece, it was very lightweight and probably not meant for any use beyond perhaps opening a letter. It’s just a cool momentum of a bygone era!
