CONDITION:   Excellent+

 

DAMAGE:   The only damage I see to this knife is some missing Armorhide at the base of the blade and at the high riges of the handle where it rubbs the sheath. There are a few light scratches on the blades, probably from sharpening. I don’t think this knife has been used a lot, but I think it has been carried quite a bit. There seems to be more wear to the sheath than to the knife, and there is not a great deal of wear even to the sheath.

 

BLADE WEAR:   Negligible, I would say less than 5%. The blade has been sharpened but appears nearly full.

AGE:     The Lamb styled handle with the Armorhide finish was made from approximately 1972 to 1989.

ADDITIONAL INFO:   This Gerber’s Shorty is in excellent condition, most of the wear on this knife has been to the finish on the handle and there are a few scratches on the blade, that appear to be from sharpening. There are some rub marks on the sheath but even it is still very serviceable, without any damage noted. All in all this is excellent Armorhide Shorty and sheath. Most of the damage to this knife is wear to the handle finish. An excellent addition to a Gerber collection or to anyone’s hunting kit! This knife would be an outstanding EDC hunting knife!
