SNAP:   Bear trap snap on the screwdriver blade. Spear blade has good snap but not nearly the bear trap snap of the screwdriver blade.

ADDITIONAL INFO:      The tang stamp on this knife Pal Blade Co. was used circa 1940 to 1945, (per Goins Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings). Pals purchased the cutlery division of Remington Arms Company in 1940 and moved the equipment to Holyoke Massachusetts and begin manufacturing knives there. In 1945 they change the name to Pal Cutlery Co. during World War II they made a lot of knives for the United States military the TL-29 was one of several patterns they produced for the US military war effort. These knives truly are a piece of US history as well as cutlery history.
