ADDITIONAL INFO: Goins dates the Old Cutler brand from 1977 to present, present being 1998 when his book, Goins Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings, was published. This knife appears to have been used very little and carried very little if at all. The Old Cutler brand is not one I have encountered often on the West Coast. It appears to be a well-made knife with a good fit and finish and high quality materials and workmanship. It is much better quality than most of quality of the Colonial knives I have encountered. This is a very unusual pattern with 4 blades and 3 back springs. The addition of the hawkbill blade is unusual as well. Definitely a unique knife and a great addition to most collections.
