The text below is from the back of the belt buckle

Officer Ranch Commemorative Edition

   “In the late 1800’s, the officer family settled in a valley on the South Fork of the John Day River in Oregon’s Blue Mountain.

  Over the decades, the ranch has been worked by the family, weathering the tasks typical to the life of the Western American rancher.

  For Kershaw, the Officer Ranch is a source of ideas for new knife designs and a proving ground for every outdoor knife we make…. From fixing a saddle to cutting the cork off some good sippin’ whiskey at the end of the day.

  Whatever the job, if they don’t cut it at the ranch, they don’t say Kershaw.”

ADDITIONAL INFO:        The text from the back of the belt buckle is almost identical to the text on a 1986 Kershaw flyer, which added the following two sentences:

“Officer Ranch knives are designed for hard work and proven performance and were built for our toughest customers. They truly are Ranch tough.”

The Officer Ranch is near the small town of Izee Oregon.

The belt buckle is 3-1/2” wide and 2-3/4” high. The loop on the back appears that it will accommodate a belt as large as  1-3/4”. It does not appear to have been worn more than a few times if at all. It is in excellent condition. A nice addition to anyone’s Kershaw collection or Western belt buckle collection.
