ADDITIONAL INFO:      This is a Kershaw second or blem. It is marked XXXX on the pile side of the blade which is Kershaws marking for a blem. The blems are not covered by Kershaw’s warranty. The blem on this knife is a shiny mark on the mark side of the handle where it was clamped in some sort of a vise to hold it during the manufacturing process. I love the CPM 154 steel! The powdered metallurgy technology that is used in producing this steel results in a more even distribution of the carbides in the blade. This results in much better edge retention! It also provides good wear resistance, or toughness and corrosion resistance with this steel. The stonewashed finish helps disguise in the scratches in the blade from use and also makes a nice looking finished the blade.

I bought this knife for my own use and carried it about three times I don’t even remember if I cut anything with it. It is slightly larger than I prefer and it opens with a good kick, much stronger than the assistant openings that I am used to. I have grown fond of my assisted opening Blur and I think I will keep that for my EDC.
