Vintage 1979 Schrade USA SC508 Scrimshaw Grizzly Bear Knife CIB Box Sheath
Up for sale is a vintage 1979 Schrade Cutlery USA SC508 "Grizzly Bear & Trapper" Scrimshaw 2-blade folding hunter knife set. Handcrafted at the historic Ellenville, New York factory, this early annual issue features carbon/stainless steel clip point and skinner blades, nickel silver bolsters, brass liners, ivory-colored polymer handle covers decorated with detailed scrimshaw artwork (signed Giorgianni '79), and an integrated lanyard hole.
This set is in excellent, unused condition, complete with its original factory leather pouch and display box.

Condition Report:
The Blades: Mint condition. Clip point primary and secondary skinner blades retain 100% full original factory satin finishes, sharp cutting edges, and intact tips with zero signs of use or sharpening. Primary mark side is etched "Schrade Scrimshaw". Tang is stamped "SCHRADE / U.S.A. SC508".
The Handle & Hardware: Excellent condition. Handle covers are tight with crisp scrimshaw artwork. Nickel silver bolsters retain mirror-bright luster with light storage rubs.
The Display Box & Sheath: The knife and leather pouch are in mint condition. The red felt-lined flocking tray inside the box has a tear near the top corner as shown in the close-up photo.
The Mechanism: Firm backspring action with good snap across both blades and zero wobble.
