Rare 1950's ELEX Japan Lever Lock Swing Guard Switchblade Knife, Jigged Bone Scale.

I've only seen a handful of these knives. From my research I believe it's from the 50's and made in Japan. It is marked ELEX on the front side of the blade, PATENT on the front tang, 6 on the lever and C12 on the backside swing guard. It has nice looking jigged bone scales, steel liners & backspring and brass bolster & swing guards. Looks like carbon steel blade to me.

- The knife is not mint however it looks unused to me. There are nicks, scuffs and scratches on the blade and handle. Also has patina on the blade. I don't see any other condition issues. See the pictures as they represent the condition accurately. 

- Functions well, fires strong and locks up with blade play. Press the lever to open and close the blade.  

- 7.5 inch total length, 3 inch blade. 

- Knife only.
