The tang stamp reads: Cuchillos Finos Enrique Cano. Meaning Fine Knives by..On the mark side is a stylized skull. On the reverse is a saying: La Carinoza/ the loving one or how loving was the knive's owner! 5" cutting edge, razor sharp. half of the false edge are teth that cut on the up stroke. Round pommel with the full tang dot. A robust blade with no flex and not the traditional looking Mexican knife. It seems that Enrique Cano made knives in the north of Mexico, around Saltillo in the 1940s-50s. Comes in a heavy duty leather sheath.
