Electric Cutlery Co. Newark NJ 1890-1910 2 Blade Pearl 2 1/4' Closed Blade Etch Visable Some Damage

The Electric brand seems to have started with Friedmann&Lauterjung, importers from the 1860's in NYC. JBF Champin was one of their salesmen! Electric was used as a logo from 1873 in NYC. Then moved to Newark NY in 1890 and closed there, in 1910. So thisĀ  knife has a problem with the secondary blade broken at the tang with only Electric visable. The master blade is tight with a loud snap. Perfect mother of pearl handles, held down by three nickel pins. Brass liners with file work and brass tip bolsters, so a real piece of cutlery history. You can still see the Electric blade etch on the master blade, faint, but there.
