This is the model R2403 Hunter, the largest automatic pocket knife made under contract by George Schrade for Remington.   This dates to approximately 1937 to 1940.  The blade appears to be full and operates very nicely.  There is no wobble.  The spring appears to be newer with good snap.  This was serviced at some time with the blade even very sharp.  The jig bone is excellent, the safety works.  Does not lock tight open.  This design is button open / close.  There are some blade scratches and light pitting.  The original blade etch is even still visible "REMINGTON MASTER KNIFE" see last photo.   I'm offering this at half the book price, see photo of Ericksons book page 114, Antique American Switchblades printed in 2004.  This model is shown at the bottom of that page with the mint book value of $1300.  this was some years ago.
