Case Tested XX Small 2-Blade Congress – Christmas Tree Handles (1920–1940)

Offered is a very nice example of an early Case Tested XX era pocket knife, produced between 1920 and 1940.

This is a small 2-blade congress pattern measuring 3 1/4 inches closed. A classic early Case pattern and a good representative knife from the Tested era.

The knife features beautiful Christmas Tree handles with strong red, green, and gold color that really stands out. This handle style gets its name from the way the colors sparkle in the light, much like lights on a Christmas tree, and it has become one of the more recognized handle styles found on early Case knives.

Both blades appear full with good snap and solid half stops, opening and closing properly. The knife locks nicely in the half position. The blades show light opening-and-closing rub marks typical of this pattern, and the knife appears to have been lightly used and well cared for over the years.

The Tang stamp reads "CASE TESTED XX," placing it in the highly collectible Tested period of Case production.

Overall, this is a very nice example of a nearly 100-year-old Case knife with attractive Christmas Tree handles and strong mechanics.
