ADDITIONAL INFO:     This knife was designed by Ken Onion and first appeared in Kershaw’s 1999-2000 Catalog. It opens by Kershaw’s Speed-Safe, assisted opening mechanism. Kershaw has always been a very innovative company trying new materials and mechanisms. The 1999-2000 Kershaw catalog featured a number of knives with innovative designs, high-tech materials and mechanisms. The Random Task is one of the more sought-after designs from that period.

This knife is a cosmetic second as denoted by the XXXX etch over the Kershaw blade etch. The knife functions perfectly. I have carried this knife personally for a few days and it works quite nicely. But you don't get to keep all the toys forever, so it's time to let someone else have some fun!
