CONDITION:   Very good

DAMAGE:   Normal use, wear and sharpening marks on blades. Minor scratches and dings to bolsters. Pocket wear to bone handles, but no cracks noted.

BLADE WEAR:   Approx 20%

SNAP:   Good snap for master blade, hard snap for pen blade

 ADDITIONAL INFO:     I find this pattern first listed in Harvey Platts book in the 1959- 1960 catalog pages. It is listed there as having bones stag handles. It is next listed in 1978 with Delrin in the handles. I don't know the exact date that Western begin using Delrin handles, but it was probably in the early 60s when the rest of the industry begin using Delrin. Bone handles were not always matched for color and there are many examples of great quality knives that had mismatched handles from the factory.
