KNIFE REPAIR & RESTORATION by Adrian Harris
This is one of the only books in print now on the repair and restoration of pocket knives. Written by Adrian Harris, who was an authorized repairman for Schrade, Kissing Crane and J.A. Henckels. He was also the founder of the Tennessee Knife Works, Inc., which produced the Colonel Coon knives.
The only other book on pocketknife repair I have is “The Complete Book of Pocketknife Repair” by Ben Kelly jr. This book is out of print but I see used copies on Amazon from $35 to $100+ per copy. It is a good book and takes a different approach to knife repair than Adrian Harris takes. Both books are excellent and this edition of Harris’ book contains chapters on blade etching and making your own knife that an earlier edition of the book did not contain.
If you are considering knife repair as a hobby, this book by Adrian Harris is a Must Read! Or if you just want to gain a greater appreciation to the inner workings of your knife this book is for you.
