Authentic Western States Cutlery & Mfg. Co. pocket knife made in Boulder, Colorado, dating from the mid-1930s to early 1940s. Produced as a souvenir for the newly completed Boulder Dam (now Hoover Dam), this compact knife features a crisp “Boulder Dam” etch and dam illustration on the front handle — a classic piece of early American souvenir history.

Condition:

Both blades have good snap and open/close smoothly. Surfaces show light age patina and some pitting consistent with use and age. Handles are intact with minor shrinkage and small marks typical of vintage celluloid. The “Boulder Dam” etch remains clear and readable. Overall, a solid example of a pre-war Western States souvenir knife.

Notes:

Western States ceased knife production in Boulder around 1950, making this piece a genuine collectible from their golden era. Excellent addition for Western States, Hoover Dam, or vintage American knife collectors.
