Ok first off, I am not a knife expert, so please rely on your own research, and ask any questions you need about this knife.  I believe this is an authentic SMF late-war RB-numbered 2nd Model, but that is based on my conversations with ChatGPT.  Everything seems to line up, but make sure you check out the pictures and accompanyint YouTube video.  I don't want to misrepresent what I have on sale here.  It looks authentic to me, but that doesn't mean it actually is authentic.

This came from my grandfather's pocketknife collection.  He mostly collected slipjoint pocketknives from local flea markets, but there have been some outliers like this knife.  I don't know how he came into posession of this knife, so I don't know the full history of where it came from.  My grandfather served in WWII, but he was in the Navy in the Pacific and never went to Europe as far as I know. 

It's in good working order, with some wear from time as one would expect.  Rather than describe everything about the knife the pictures and video should be enough to see the condition, I will point out there looks to be a relatively recent scratch in the wood handle, I'm not sure how it got there, but this knife was 1 of many in a big pile of knives so probably from something like that.

The assembly numbers on the pieces all match, 428, and it has an RB Number that is 0/0561/0019, and has an SMF logo on the tang stamp.
