This knife is in pretty good condition, although not mint.  It looks to me like someone may have cleaned it with sandpaper since there are abbrasive lines on it, and I believe it once had "Stainless Steel" etched on the side as compared to other examples I've seen of it.  It also looks like it's been sharpened down some, but there seems to be plenty of life left in it to me.

I also think someone in its history has drilled a hole in the handle to add the leather cord on it.  Compared to another of the same knife, the other knife didn't have this feature, so I don't know if someone in its past modified it on their own, or it came from the factory like this.

This knife comes from my grandfather's collection that I recently inherited.  I don't know how he came by this knife other than he was an outdoorsman, and liked to visit local flea markets. That's my only knowledge of it, as I am not a professional kinfe dealer by any means.

Other than that, I don't see anything wrong with it.  The handles are in good condition, though they maybe could use some cleaning.  It springs open pretty good (see video) and locks into place both open and closed.  It kind of looks like there might be some rust inside the knife on the spring, so be aware of that, but doesn't see to have affected the performance but should probably be cleaned out.  
I'm not a knife restorer or anything like that so I'm not sure what kind of work it will need, just please make sure you check out the pictures and video and ask any questions you have.

There is some wobble to it when it's opened, but that seems to be common for American automatics, I don't detect anything unusual about it when compared to other automatics I've come across.
