Offered here is a vintage Western States Cutlery two-blade jack knife made in Boulder, Colorado, likely from the 1930s–1940s.

Specs:

• 3 3/8” closed

• 2 5/8” skinner blade – good snap, some dark patina and pitting from age

• 1 6/8” pen blade – weak snap, still opens and closes

• Carbon steel blades with original swedges

• Nickel silver bolsters and brass liners

• Genuine stag handle scales – beautiful aging, no cracks

• Nickel silver federal shield

The knife shows honest use and age-appropriate patina, but it still has lots of character. Blades have wear and spotting typical for the era. The skinner blade has nice snap; the pen blade is looser with weak spring tension.

A great old piece of American cutlery history, perfect for a collection or restoration project.
