Offered here is a vintage 3-blade jack knife marked “Cutlery Co. / Utica, N.Y.” The top portion of the tang stamp is worn or ground off, but based on the pattern and location, it was most likely produced by Utica Cutlery Company, a long-established maker based in Utica, New York.

• Blades (carbon steel):

   

  • 2 5/8” spear blade

  • 2 1/8” spade blade

  • 1 7/8” punch blade

   

• Handle: Jigged brown bone

• Bolsters & shield: Nickel silver

• Liners: Brass

• Blade action: Decent snap on all blades

• Condition notes: Carbon steel blades show dark patina and wear. There is a hairline crack on the back scale, visible but stable. Blades open and close properly with good spring tension.

This is a solid old user or collectible knife, showing honest age and character. Great for any fan of early American pocketknives or Utica Cutlery history.
