At first, I thought it was jigged bone but closer inspection it is jigged black. This material was used during the war years since other material was difficult to obtain so Boker was beginning to get back into production in the early 50's. An interestin fact is that the 'O' in Boker has the 'Umlaut' mark for pronunciation in German, a sound that does not exist in English, first introduced in 1930. Tarnished blades but no sign of real use but they all have a loud clunk and are tight. Nickel pins hold down the handles while bolsters and liners are nickel.
