Antique J Lingard Pea Croft Sheffield England Folding Knife, Beautiful Stag. 

Old folding knife with AMAZING stag scales! The maker, John Lingard, was active between 1849-1876 and is known for a unique switchblade knife design that used a smaller blade that was pressed in the handle to open a larger blade. The tang is marked J LINGARD PEA CROFT SHEFFIELD on this knife.

- The knife is used. The pin for the backlock has been replaced. The easy open notch does not look original to me. The blade has been cleaned & there is blade loss. There are scuffs, scratches, patina and other signs of carry and use on the knife. See the pictures as they represent the condition accurately. 

- The blade moves smoothly opening & closing with a little bit of snap. There's blade play when open. 

- 11.25 inch total length with a 5 inch blade. 

- Knife only.
