Vintage Imperial toothpick style candystripe switchblade with finger guards. This knife was made in Providence, RI in the 1950s by the Imperial Knife Co. It measures 4.25 inches closed and just under 7 1/2 inches open and has steel liners. The blade is 98% full with very light patina. Blade marked Imperial PROV USA on the front and the back is marked with 2 patent numbers 2170537 and 2291782. The scales are hollow metal with candystripe celluloid wraps that are in nice condition with less common crossguards (finger guards built into the top bolsters. The knife works well. Blade tip seating deep in the handle.safety works as intended, and lockup is great with very minimal up/down. A very nice vintage Imperial.
