1995 Case Classic 2050 Sunfish Knife – Exotic Awabi Shell – Salesman Sample – Recall Tin – Mint Condition

Here is our Case Classic 2050 Sunfish knife with Awabi shell handles, displaying vibrant hues of greens and pinks. This collector's piece is in mint condition, having never been used, carried, or sharpened.

• Blade Etchings: Features the Elephant etch and is marked Salesman Sample on the front blade​

• Handles: Genuine Awabi shell with iridescent green and pink tones​

• Packaging: Comes with the original recall tin and Certificate of Authenticity (COA)​

About the Recall Tin:

This knife comes in the original Case tin that was recalled due to a typographical error. Specifically, the state name "Pennsylvania" was misspelled on the tin as "Pennslyvania." Upon discovery, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. initiated a recall of these tins; however, some had already been distributed, making them rare collector's items. ​ 

Provenance:

Ed Henley, a close associate of Jim Parker, both prominent figures in the knife-collecting community, acquired this knife. The included COA verifies that this knife was part of a low production run produced for photo samples, adding to its rarity and collectibility.​
