Burnt Chimney Cutlery brand, made in Germany by Boker. Made in 1991 as a submission for the 1992 NKCA Youth Knife program. This is the original 1 piece prototype, and it was the winning submission that year, so full production was ordered for 1992 by the National Knife Collectors Association. This knife was sold through the Voyles Prototype auction in 2009 to raise funds for the NKCA.

This is a single blade trapper pattern. It measures 4 1/8 inch closed. It has burnt jigged white bone handles, and includes the round Burnt Chimney shield. It has a stainless blade, brass liners, and nickel silver bolsters.

This knife does not have a half stop. It did not come with a box. The bolster is engraved “PROTO 000” and the blade is etched “1992 NKCA Youth Knife”. The knife has never been used or sharpened. The blade has strong snap open and closed.

The front side handle has a chip out around the center pin area. On the rear handle, there is a pin crack. Both defects are visible in the photos. The knife was in this condition when I bought it in the 2009 auction.
