This is a Case knife 1 piece prototype submitted to the NKCA for hopeful selection of the 2003 Youth Knife program, but was not chosen. It was the only knife made in this configuration that year. This knife was sold through the Voyles Prototype auction in 2009 to raise funds for the National Knife Collectors Association.

It is a Baby Powderhorn pattern 610094SS made in 2002. It measures 4 3/8 inch closed. Single blade made of stainless steel, with jigged redbone handles, brass liners, and nickel silver bolsters and shield.

This knife does not have half stops. It has blade etch on the front showing it was made for the NKCA, and back is engraved PROTOTYPE. The knife has never been used or carried. The blades are clean and never sharpened, and the handles are free from any flaws. Snaps good both open and closed.

There is a bit of tarnish spots on the bolsters which can be seen in the photos. I think these would buff out.
