ADDITIONAL INFO:     I think this series with the tough checkered ABS plastic handles was introduced around 1990, though it could have been introduced a year or two before that; I don’t have a complete collection of Kershaw catalogs, so I can check every year to see when they were introduced.. The Grant County is the smallest knife in this series with four larger knives having been made. In the 1999-2000 Kershaw catalog they reintroduce this pattern made in the USA with 440A stainless blade steel. The Corral Creek II, Wildcat Ridge II, and the Black Gulch II were all made in the Tualatin Oregon factory with 440A steel. The Grant County #3100 is also listed in the 1999-2000 Kershaw catalog but it is only available from Japan. This pattern was not produced in Tualatin. This knife comes in on the box with a small 14-page brochure. The knife is in the original box with a leather pocket slip for the knife. I am uncertain if this was an original slip from the factory or not. I don’t remember Kershaw’s coming with pocket slips at that period of time. I worked in managed a cutlery store at that time and Kershaw was our number one selling knife. We were only about 30 miles from the factory and our customers loved Kershaws!
