The John Primble knife brand was first used by Belknap Hardware Co. circa 1890.  The name is rumored to have originated from one of the company's top salesmen.

You will find the original old Primble knives to be extremely high quality tools.  Belknap outsourced the production to a variety of US manufacturers to a set of specifications that were of  extraordinarily high standards.

The end result was the creation & current existence of some great old John Primble marked pocketknives that are very highly regarded by most all collectors.   AAPK members list a good variety of them for sale here on occasion, so look them over now & be sure to check back often as the inventory changes regularly.
