The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.
Just wondering if anyone is familiar with this knife? I haven't seen this shield before or a Case with 3 springs and don't see it in any of my reference books. I'm not going to rush into plunking down $360, but would like to know more about it. Sorry for the poor screen shots. Happy holidays everyone!
Well, I have one just like it. 3 1/4" closed.
I've had this knife for a good while now and I had no idea it was a Case. Pending the authenticity of the e bay knife.
I didn't know what it was because it had no markings.
Anything on the tangs is worn away. It is a dandy little knife however and I was glad to have it.
I hope it's a Case. I will say it beats a piece of coal this time of year.
