Re: 5254s & 6254s
Not sure where to put this...so I'm going to drop it in here. This is listed as a 5254 with Rogers bone. Tang stamp is Rog5254. This doesn't look like anything I've come to know as Rogers bone. Can someone enlighten my feeble mind?

Looks like Case's Amber Bone offering.
But what it looks like and what it is may be two totally different things.

Got this one because..... Well I think that's obvious.
This one by accident. Thought I was buying a Mini-Trapper.

Wow Jerry - that first one is the highly coveted "rat trapper" - having the rare sweeping clip blade - super nice in stag !!jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 2:49 pm Won this one on AAPK almost exactly 7 years ago.

I used to hate full size trappers ... over time, they grew on me. Now, they've become one of my all time fave weekend carry knives - very rugged and useful (I like to thin out the clip and pointy up the tip of the spey). Here's my pile --->

Re: 5254s & 6254s
Nice pile

I'm not a fan of the large trapper, either. Just don't like that looooooong spay.
I'm sure you've posted elsewhere, but could you post a pic here of your blade mods on the large trapper?
Maybe that'll change my mind about this pattern.
Take care and God bless,

Sure, here's a pic of the little tweak I like to do to the blades on full size trappers (take the big belly out of the clip and tidy up the point on the spey)Steve Warden wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 3:11 pm Nice pile![]()
