The Case 75 frame - Large Stockman, Moose, Texas Jack, etc.

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Beautiful knives, Larry and Tom.

Tom, is that called a "low pull" on your W R Case & Sons?
Thanks.

Joe, I am not sure what you call it. I have a WR Case & Sons 6383 Whittler that also has the pull next to the end of the blade as does the 75. I believe those may be the only ones I have with that pull. Good question, maybe someone here has the answer.

Never buy a Barnes & Noble Nook. ::disgust::

*edit* Left my phone at work, forgot Photobucket doesn't work on my Nook but Kindle to the rescue! ::super_happy::

Here's a few -75s I've picked up along the way with a -92 thrown in for comparison, one XX era and the rest are USA era stamped. The stag with two tight bolster cracks is going to be my EDC some day. One is a 1980 75th Anniversary knife, I've got a Bradford Centennial kicking around somewhere too.

Wow, the knives on this page are all vintage and all beauties! It would be nice if someone like Shepherd Hills could get Case to make a special run of the 6275 Large Texas Jack - the originals are bound to be pretty rare. OH

Wow!!!! what a way to make a man drool all over his computer ::oh_my:: very nice knives each of you have posted. I was going to comment on a couple of the first post but as I scrolled on through the rest of them I realized I couldn't pick a couple because they are all so nice.

The rare and famous Case 6175 SS "Half-Moose"? By the way, the box label is simply marked "Jack" and not "Texas Jack" as it was listed on e-bay. OH

Steve Pfeiffer's book, Collecting Case Knives, concerning the 75 pattern doesn't show a large jack. Only the Moose and a Stockman.
Great looking knives you have there.
Case did at one time make the 6275 in a two blade jack configuration with clip and pen blades at the same end like a Texas jack. A rare bird only made pre 1930. I have only ever seen maybe two examples.
BREAKING NEWS!!! Found at a gun show in Morehead Ky. 1/10/15. I was pretty anxious as I calmly negotiated the purchase. The seller never knew he had me all the way!!! ::woot::

I like the big stockmen knives and have been following along as y'all made comments and then, there it is, the one that was very illusive. ::tu::

I gave 575.00 for it. He had it priced at 750.00. I wanted it so maybe didn't do the best job of negotiating. It is a really tight knife with good snap to the blades and the greenbone handles dont have any chips or cracks. Obviously it has had considerable use but Case made a fine knife in those days.

Been real busy lately so dare I say knives have taken a backseat. Late to the party but great looking knives all! Congrats on a rare find Tom.

I have a nice USA 6275 Moose. Love the white bone accents you find on some of the USA era knives.

Regards, Jerry

Great looking knife, Jerry. Those knives with the red accents are some of my favorites also. Hard for that color to not catch your eye. ::tu::
