I can remember the old "Bell Hose" that had to be repositioned from time to time.
I remember it well, like philco - it had a 5/16" bolt stuck in the end of it.
Fifty years later, you're now telling me about anchoring it to the Drive-way.
I don't know about the U.S.A. The old Petrol signs can sell from about $500 to $5000.
The Oil Bottles sell for $35 to over $1000 with-out the tin top.
I sold a new un-used oil bottle "tin top" from the 1950s and 1960s for over $600, about 4 years ago.

Back in those days, petrol was under $.50 a gallon. Today in Australia we pay A$7.28 a gallon ($US 6.77)
