Pictures of Miscellaneous Stuff & Things
I've been hi-jacking the "pics for the chat room" thread and decided there needed to be a separate thread for the miscellaneous stuff and things you run into now and then and want to share with the folks at AAPK. You don't have to worry about hi-jacking this thread because it's not going anywhere specific anyway.
This is not just for tools. You can drop anything you want in here. Your favorite cat. The ding your wife put in the side of the car. The ding you put in the side of the car. Your favorite tree at the old home place. Well, you get the idea.
I'll start it off by posting pictures of my Armstrong, made in USA, brazillion pound, bench vise. I found it at the flea market they have twice a year in this area. This old girl weighs well over a hundred pounds. She's too heavy for me to carry by myself. I love her and only regret bringing her home when I have to move her. Which, thank God, has only been twice, once when I brought her home and once when I moved. The bench she's bolted down to is home-made and weighs two brazillion pounds.

I'm a bourbon guy. Under the Four Roses brand, I prefer the yellow Label, not that I would turn up my nose at Small Batch. My favorite bourbon is Knob Creek. Received a 1.75 liter bottle from my neighbor for Christmas. I'm savoring it slowly. Those cigars make my mouth water and I quit smoking 16 years ago.

Re: Pictures of Miscellaneous Stuff & Things
This is the two Brazillion pound work bench. She's not much for pretty but she's hell for stout. It's eight feet long and 32 inches deep.
This is my assembly bench. The little roll around flat surface to the left is made from what I cut off the table saw outfeed table when I shortened it. It's used to lay parts on when you're working on stuff.

Will somebody puleeeze tell me what this thing is. I thank you in advance cuz I know at least one of you will know. It's all aluminum except for a small, steel single edge blade and is about 3&3/4" long...

Not as exotic as some of the stuff you guys are showing, but this is my working guitar - a 2007 C.F. Martin Herringbone D-28. A really great guitar.

Re: Pictures of Miscellaneous Stuff & Things
I dont know why I took a pic of this but it is a JD barrel lid I purchased from a gal at the flea market some years ago. She said her dad was a salesman for JD and it was from his personal collection. She had a bunch of really cool things from JD that werer unique but this really caught my eye and I had to have it. Its 24" across and hangs in my gameroom today.
