If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

The second rifle is approximately .40 cal and marked “H PETER” on top of the barrel and has a “G. Goulcher” lock. Bores are dark but no significant pitting. Some added copper shielding to both which does hide some wood loss and a repair on the Biddel. Looking forward to taking em out and making them roar again

A while back in this thread. I pictured a gray Ruger Wrangler 22lr single action with a 7 and 1/2 inch barrel. I have been shooting it for a few months, but was not happy with the way it shot. It would shoot a decent group, but the point of impact was a considerable point to the left of where the fixed sights were looking. I contacted Ruger about this and they gave me authorization to send it in for repairs. With the point of impact being to the far left as it was, the obvious problem when looking at the sights was that the front sight leaned to the right. This would have been caused by not fitting the barrel correctly at the factory. I received word from Ruger that they would not be fixing the old one, but would be replacing it with a new one which I received yesterday. While one could say that Ruger customer service worked correctly in fixing this, one could also say that Ruger quality control should never have let that one out for sale.

A buddy had this re-production Gen 1 Glock P80 for sale, so I took it off his hands. Basically a new Glock 17 with some of the Gen 1 P80 details. Has a new/ old "tupperware" case with it.

Do not freak out, I received permission from the management to post this FOR SALE ad.
I have this Remington Rand slide for a 45 caliber, M1911A1 automatic pistol for sale. The left side of the slide has the two-line Remington Rand & address. The "P" proof mark is on the top, and to the rear of the slide. Just above the rear sight. It also has the letter "G" (Government Contract Order?) when the firing pin guard is removed. Overall, this Remington Rand slide is in VERY GOOD condition. I am NOT the original owner of this slide. This slide was on my .45 (Colt) when I obtained it. However, I wanted a Colt slide. I found a Colt slide, and I bought the Colt slide. I have had this Remington Rand slide, safely stored, for 20 years. F.Y.I., my .45 Colt's serial number group, per the Colt archives, was manufactured in 1942. I am asking $430.00, shipping by USPS Priority Mail is included. Payment through PayPal Friends & Family preferred. Payment by postal money order might be considered. Reply by PM ONLY. Thank you.

CONTINUED FROM MY PREVIOUS POST.....

Here, for a LIMITED time, is an ORIGINAL pair of Remington Rand M1911A1 pistol grips. The pair does come with the four, what I assume are the original screws. You can't really tell from the pictures, but each grip is a dark brown in color. I am by no means an expert on grip material, but this pair of grips appears to be made of either plastic(?) OR bakelite(?) Each grip is in EXCELLENT condition, with NO cracks, NO chips, and with NO visible wear. Each grip, has embossed on the back, a star with the letter "K" in the center, followed by the number "18" These two Remington Rand grips were safely stored for 20 years, along with the above posted Remington Rand slide. If you do purchase the above posted Remington Rand slide, I will include this pair of Remington Rand grips at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. I will NOT sell these grips separately! PLEASE DO NOT ASK.

From a "1911" forum.....
"Remington Rand used Keyes grips throughout production. The Keyes grips can be identified by a K in a star on the back of the grip, along with a mold number. The early Keyes grips did not have a reinforcing ring around the screw hole....."

Here, also for a LIMITED time only, is an ORIGINAL, BOYT -42- holster. I have never actually used it, but my M1911A1 fits in it perfectly. It is a black, genuine leather holster. It measures 10 3/8" long (with the flap closed), 5" wide at the widest (the top) and gradually tapering down in width, to the bottom. It says "US" inside a double oval on the front of the flap. On the back of the holster, between the belt slots, it says, "BOYT -42-" It is a right side, right handed holster. There are two ways of wearing the holster. With a belt through the two, 2 1/8" long belt slots. Or, attached to the grommets on a "military style" web belt. Overall, this holster is in VERY GOOD+ condition. The front shows very little wear. The back shows very little wear, but does have a few minor scratches. The inside of the holster shows some minor wear. ALL of the stitching is present and intact. The four rivets are ALL present and intact. This holster, along with the pair of previously posted Remington Rand grips, and the previously posted Remington Rand slide, were ALL safely stored for 20 years. If you do purchase the previously posted Remington Rand slide, which will also include the pair of Remington Rand grips, I will also include this BOYT -42- holster at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
