Winchester Split Backspring Whittler Wine Bone 1997
This is a split backspring whittler made for Winchester in 1997. The jigged wine bone handles are chip and crack free. The blades have not been used or resharpened and retain their factory edges. There is a dull area that looks like it wasn't polished out properly on the end of the main blade mark side, see pictures. The pull on the main blade is very hard at about an 8. That's by design. The two backsprings are wedged to come together in a way that provides the maximum pressure on the main blade to keep it open. The other two blades have a normal pull of 4 to 5. Measures 3 3/4" closed OAL. Good snap and no wobble or play. Comes with the original box. Free shipping within the USA.
