Remington Fake

Post by Cabphoto »

Hi there-

Saw this Remington and I'm a noob. It was pretty and had the etch still. Now looking at it the etch seems large. There is no pattern number on the blades and the stamp looks deeper than what I am seeing on others. Included some images of where the blades meet back springs too. Hard to see but the pin is a slightly different color than the bolster I think. I can return it so maybe seller didn't know? Let me know what you think. Thank you for your help.

Good Catch! Yes that is one of the unauthorized Remington reproductions made in Germany in the 1960's to 70's. You are correct on all points.

Well I didn't catch it soon enough to not buy it. Thank goodness there is a return option. Thank you for your confirmation.
