First warranty work done

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

First warranty work done

Post by JoeBud »

I sent in this 1993 Peanut (5220) back in February and got it back this weekend. First time sending a knife back to Case for repair. The clip blade had a pretty good ding out near the tip. They opted to replace the blade free of charge. I just expected them to put a new blade on it, but turns out they put a 2012 blade back on it. And uniquely enough, the blade is marked 6220 RSC SS. The original pen blade is still stamped 5220. Overall, very pleased.

They do good work. Surprised it took that long though. In my experience 6 weeks is about the longest, including transit time to them and back. Worth the wait though, I'd say.

Guess I'll be the first to say, those handles are sick!
