For Sale: Rolling Knife Display Case Storage Rack

The thinning of my knife herd has created the availability of my rolling knife display case storage rack. Like many who collect pocketknives, I struggled to find a solution that met criteria like easy access to all my knives, safe out-of-the-way storage and flexible enough to support changes in collecting directions.

I had about 10 of the 18” x 12” oak display cases holding about 500 of my pocketknives when the idea struck me that a “10 Pan End Load Half Height Sheet Pan Rack” would hold 20 display cases and meet all my criteria for a storage solution. I purchased another 10 display cases and the sheet pan rack and the solution you see below was born.

The sheet rack is 26” x 20” and 38.5” tall. It can support almost 500 pounds and rolls easily on its heavy-duty casters with 1,000 pocketknives. The display cases have foam inserts that should be replaced down the road, mostly for esthetics. Each display case easily slides in-and-out of the rack and the wood on top is handy to place a case while messing with your knives.

This is not an easily shippable item so I’m looking for someone willing to pick this up (NC) or arrange transportation. For an AAPK member, I’m willing to go to great lengths to rehome this fantastic display and storage unit. I invested almost $1,600 in the 20 display cases and sheet rack and I’m asking $750 for the whole unit.

Tried Craigslist and FB Marketplace with only tire kickers or Nigerian scammers. I’m willing to drive 3-4 hours in any direction of Wilmington NC to meet a buyer halfway - I just want to see it out into service once again hopefully with a knife collector.

Anyone passing through on their way to the Blade Show in June I could easily meet on I-95.
