Any ideas on how old this knife is? 1990's? 1980's?

Personally no, I don't, but it sure is cool. The weathered covers look great. I have a few C Jul Herbertz knives, no autos just manuals, and they're among my favorites. Yours is the first more traditional auto I've seen, they're more often modern builds. 8)

I am pretty sure that my father bought this at least 20 years ago, and maybe much more. The knife snaps open with authority and is very tight when open.

Yeah, 1970's rings true to me. I inherited this from my father, and I thinks that he procured a lot of his collection in the 1970s and 1980s. Thanks for the insight, Folgore1.
