Background on a Case Trapper
Background on a Case Trapper
My father-in-law gave me a Case Trapper several years ago. The walnut for the handles was purchased by Case from a small sawmill he used to own, so that's pretty cool. I would like to pass this knife down to one of my sons one day, and am trying to get any history on this knife. It has 085 on the blade, so I guess that means it was number 85 out of a special run? Can anyone tell me anything else based on the images? Thank you so much for any history you can provide!

Re: Background on a Case Trapper
Welcome to AAPK. Nice trapper.
Case has made literally thousands of different “Commemorative” versions of the trapper pattern. Some one here may know more specifics about yours but if not my recommendation is to contact Case and ask them. You can reach their consumer relations team at cr@caseknives.com, or call them at 888-442-1932. Email might be best as they’ll need pictures of the knife and if possible the box label.
