Hello all,
First post, long time sword and knife fan. So I love Case Bowies. They're without a doubt my favorite knife style. However, the one I just got has quite the gap between the blade and guard as my photos will show....
How did this get past quality control? To me this is an unacceptable gap. It's almost comical since I can slip my finger nail in there, let alone paper. My OCD does not like it lol.
I've noticed other Case Bowies are either much better or similar, but mostly they seem better.
Anyone else have this issue or know if Case cares about this?

Does the guard wiggle? If it does, then the gap MAY be due to shrinkage.
