Info on Case Fixed Blade?

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Info on Case Fixed Blade?

Post by Chrisd703 »

Hi All,

I just bought this fixed blade today and was wondering if anyone had any information on it? Also, does the Sheath seem to match? (fits perfectly snug)

Thanks!

Chris

No expert here Chris. The stamp is what known as "sans serif". It describes the type of lettering used and was not used after 1965. I think it may be a 3025 flat grind but don't take that to the bank. I think the sheath looks fine with that knife. The blade is scratched up so that hurts its value as a collector piece unless its a rare knife and I can't say that it is or isn't. I'd be happy to have that one!
